Frequently Asked Questions — Trend Hunter — Google Trends Keyword Explorer
What is Google Trends Keyword Explorer?+
It is a free online tool that uses Google Trends data to show how search interest for any keyword has changed over the past 12 months. It also surfaces related queries that are growing explosively (Breakout) and the top consistently-searched related terms.
Is this tool free to use?+
Yes, completely free. No account, no API key, no credit card required. Just type a keyword and click Explore.
Where does the data come from?+
All trend data is sourced directly from Google Trends. Interest values are normalized on a 0–100 scale where 100 represents the peak search volume for the selected period and region.
What does "Breakout" mean?+
"Breakout" signals that a related query experienced a massive increase in search volume — typically 5,000% or more. These are the highest-priority opportunities for new content or tools.
How is this different from Google Trends?+
Google Trends requires you to visit their website separately. Trend Hunter embeds the analysis directly in ToolHub, lets you click related keywords to instantly research them without leaving the page, and presents data in a cleaner interface.
How often is the data updated?+
Each keyword's data is cached for 4 hours to respect rate limits. After 4 hours, refreshing the page fetches the latest data from Google Trends.
