Will my transparent background be preserved?+
No. JPG does not support transparency. Transparent areas will be filled with white. If you need transparency, keep the PNG format. For a colored background, you can use image editing before converting.
What quality setting should I use?+
0.85 (85%) is a great default — small file size with virtually no visible quality drop. For print: use 0.95+. For website thumbnails: 0.70–0.80 gives the best size/quality ratio.
Is my image uploaded to a server?+
No. All conversion happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device and are never stored on any server.
